SOMERSHAM BRICK WORKS
Situated close to the old GNER railway NW of the town about 1 mile.

Dates pre 1900 but was not on 1887 OS maps.

Closed in 1930

Owned by London Brick Company the site appears on the 1901 OS map 6” series SW XIV

Brickworks making Flettons before 1919. In 1919 the site was auctioned and in 1928 the site was bought by the London Brick Company.

The site had 2 kilns, out buildings and connections with the railway.

The works was demolished in 1941 to use as hardcore for the runway.
