In this section we look at the earliest period of settlement of the village of Somersham. Obviously for most of this era there are no written records. However over the years a great deal of archaeological activity has been focused on the village and the area around it. This gives us the opportunity to paint a picture of the early settlement using the reports of those digs and sharing the conclusions with you.
